Make and take home your own little tree as you learn the history and techniques of growing beautiful Tropical Bonsai (ficus, Portulacaria, schefflera) Bonsai with expert Luigi Trapani. @ Noon We Will Break, Bring a picnic lunch if you like. Cost: $75 per person- includes soil, wire, and use of bonsai tools. Then purchase the bonsai tree and bonsai pot of your choice at the class; various aged trees and appropriately sized pots are available.

Learn the basics of growing bonsai, the artificial dwarfing of trees. What is the ancient art of Bonsai? The history of training bonsai and dwarfing a tree in a shallow dish will be explained by Bill Pfeiffer. He will demonstrate the different styles of bonsai. Anyone can start to train and trim a tree and come to master this beautiful art form.
